BBWR Award Recognizes Dr. Semien-McBride’s Commitment to Entrepreneurship, Empowerment, and Community
Southern California’s own Black Business Women Rock (BBWR) organization has announced they will be awarding CEO, executive coach, and business strategist Dr. Karen Semien-McBride the 2022 recipient of their Black Business Women Rock Award, to be awarded at their Farewell Conference on September 11, 2022, at the Torrance, California Marriott Hotel.
The popular conference celebrates women and men with a passion for entrepreneurship, professional growth, and community empowerment, with noted speakers, experts, and panel discussions on topics of interest to business owners, successful entrepreneurs, and professionals. As a seasoned and well-respected business professional within the Southern California business community, “Dr. Karen” as she is known to her friends, clients and colleagues brings an approach to leadership development and business strategy that many have noted is radically different from those of typical motivational speakers and leadership experts.
With more than 25 years of experience as a CEO, higher education administrator, and management professional, Dr. Karen Semien-McBride also holds two Doctoral and Master’s Degrees in the fields of Business Administration, Social Psychology, and Organizational Leadership. She is recognized by her peers, clients, and the business community for her keen understanding of emotional intelligence and its applications, along with her insights on effective leadership and leveraging teams to maximize performance. Her message of empowerment and self-awareness resonates with both C-suite executives and those who aspire to those roles, making her a popular keynote speaker and successful seminar leader nationwide.
