CEO, Educator, Leadership and Mindset Expert Dr Karen Semien-McBride to Deliver Keynote Speech at California Community College Conference
CEO of national organizational leadership company MKCircle, CEO Institute Dr. Karen Semien-McBride recently accepted an invitation from the California Community Colleges Extended Opportunity Programs and Services Association to present a keynote address to the conference on October 26, 2022.
The 2022 CCCEOPSA Conference will be held in Palm Springs from October 25- 27th, and already there are more than 600 attendees scheduled to attend from all over California. With a mission to encourage the enrollment, retention and transfer of students facing language, social and economic challenges, EOPS programs have never been more important to communities across California. The yearly conference brings together staff, alumni, and administrators in a professional setting to set a path forward to reach and support even more community college students and potential enrollees who might otherwise face impossible constraints in their collegiate journey.
Dr Semien-McBride is no stranger to challenges and the impact the right mindset can bring to one’s life and career. As a previous Community College Executive Administrator with 25 years of experience in the field of organizational leadership, business development, change management, strategic planning, public speaking, mentorship, marketing, social psychology, accounting, human resources, human equity, finance, executive coaching, compliance, entrepreneurship, consulting, business administration and higher education. 10 years of her career were spent as a C-level executive.
An entrepreneur from the age of seven, she grew up in Compton, California, starting a small floral design business in high school. By the time she graduated, she was able to sell the business to earn money for college. Now with two Doctoral Degrees and Masters’ Degree in the fields of Business Administration, Social Psychology, and Organizational Leadership, Dr. Semien-McBride works with educational institutions, corporate, non-profits executives, civic leaders and more across the country on strategic decision making, effective communication, leadership development and team building.
